Theta: Similar to Pi Phi as girls usually have been told they will be a theta before rush week begins. They literally did not have any freshmen come to pref night who had Chi O and Zeta left. They used to be seen as a step above KD and ADPi, but theyve been slipping with their PCs over the last few years. Definitely ChiO and KKG are the top tier at most schools. Maybe because of the money they bring with them, their houses tend to be one of the nicest on campus. They pick each other out before recruitment even begins. PAN LOVE PEOPLE!! No matter what sorority it is you'll find beautiful women inside and out that want to achieve great things. They are held to a higher standard, which pushes them to be the best that they can be. For some it's all about family and money. Obviously every girl going through rush wants to get into the "best" sorority on their campus and wants to be part of the "top tier." Kappa Kappa Gamma? Many girls who get AXD end up dropping. Not every sorority is going to have the same reputation on every campus, and trust me, reading this crap will just make you miserable during recruitment. ALL have very rich girls and fake girls. The tier has everything to do with how picky it can be about members. My younger sister pledged Pi Phi at Kansas, and again, mostly blonde, debutantes, and extremely selective. However something happened and over the past few years they did a 180. Based on the totally appraisal of KKG, It reeks of favoritism and lack of awareness. DO NOT pay any attention to articles like this. Go to whatever campus you, your daughter, etc. They got lots of girls who made it through two rounds of at least one of PKT but then got dropped. So if the charity work is what you are worried about, do some research on what the specific philanthropies of the chapters at your school are. The reputation of Zetas ranges depending on who you talk to, but party girls is a fairly common descriptor; the less charitable have compared Zetas to the cast of the Jersey Shore. The best way to find out whether a sorority is right for you is to participate in recruitment activities and talk with current members. A lot of incoming high school ladies accepted to UT who end up having the most successful recruitment experiences: 1) Get started preparing for recruitment early. Particularly on a very large campus, undergraduates can benefit from the friendship and support a sorority offers.
